Maxxxine is Ti West and Mia Goth’s third film in the Maxine Minx trilogy, after X and Pearl, and the first trailer for it just dropped. It’s set in the early 1980s in Hollywood, as Maxine tries to switch from adult movies to the ‘more legitimate’ genre of horror – all whilst being stalled by the Night Stalker (is this a Richard Ramirez style killer, or Ramirez himself?) – and haunted by her own past. The VHS stylings look amazing – could this be looking at the best Minx yet?
Also staring Kevin Bacon, Halsey, Michelle Monaghan, Giancarlo Esposito, Elizabeth Debicki, and Lily Collins (what a line up), Maxxxine hits theaters in the US on July 5 (hurrah), and UK cinemas on August 9 (boo).
